Cheddar Cheese Bean Bake

Ingredients:
4 cups canned mixed pinto and red kidney beans
1 cup tomato sauce
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 pound ripe tomatoes, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
Topping:
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese


Preparing your recipe

In mixing bowl combine tomato sauce, garlic, cayenne pepper and herbs. Lightly grease a casserole baking dish. Put a layer of beans covering the bottom of the casserole. Cover beans with a layer of tomatoes, then a layer of onions. Repeat until tomatoes and onions are gone. Pour in tomato mixture and top with bread crumbs and cheese. In preheated oven bake covered at 350° for 1 hour. Uncover and bake another 15 minutes.
